Conditions for obtaining service

  • The petitioner must have resided in the Kingdom for ten years legally. Except for wives of Jordanian men.
  • That residency should not be for work purposes.

Procedures

  • The receptionist will check and verify the documents.
  • The applicationis then transferred to the residencies section for study and to preparea letter of opinion from the concerned authorities.
  • Upon receipt of the responses from the concerned parties, a letter shall be prepared and addressed to the relevant bank to reserve or confirm the deposit in case of residencywith the position(None) (residency with no occupation).
  • After the reservation is confirmed, a letter is prepared to approve a five-year residency permit.
  • The applicant is then handed-over the approval of service to complete the procedures in the Department of Residency and Borders or the expatriatessection of residency and borders in police stations.

Required Documents

  • A letter of recommendation from the Department of Residency and Borders.
  • Copy of the passport / travel document of the applicant + stamp of the last entry to the Kingdom on the passport / travel document.
  • A bank certificate valued at twenty thousand JDs if the applicant does not have a registrationdeedof a residential apartment in his name, or a bank certificate worth ten thousand JDs + a registration deedof a residential apartment in the name of the petitioner (except for wives of Jordanian men).For the family members of the resident for five years, it’s sufficient to have copies of their passports, the residency permit of the head of household, and the recommendation of the Residency & Borders department.

Persons benefiting from the service

  • Foreign residents who wish to reside for five years from non-exempt nationalities under the Law of Residency and Foreigners affairs, and who have been legally residing in the country for ten years.
  • Wives of Jordanian men, regardless of the length of previous residence in the country.
