Instructions of the Engineering Offices and Consultative Companies

Estimated Time:

The competent committee concerned with the qualification of the engineering offices and consulting companies consists of multi-specialization and administrative references experts from the public and private sectors, and headed by the director general of the Government Tenders Department. Therefore, this committee hold its meetings as necessary. The time needed to issue the qualification certificate in case the application meets the standards and requirements provided for in the instructions is two to three weeks.

Notes

The qualification certificate granted by the Department enables the consultant to participate in the government engineering services tenders in the fields mentioned in the instructions, and to apply to the technical and engineering tenders invited by the public sector institutions. The completion of this service requires the cooperation of a number of public and private institutions such as the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Greater Amman Municipality, Social Security Corporation, Jordanian Engineers Association, and the Engineering Offices Authority.

Procedures

The procedures:
1.   To submit a qualification application in accordance with the approved form.
2.   To attach the required documents properly.
3.   The application is reviewed by the Department for its completeness.
4.   The application is presented to the competent qualification committee.
5.   If the application is complete, a certificate shall be issued to the person for one year and approved by the Minister.

Required Documents

The required documents:
1.   The person should be a member in the Engineers Association.
2.   The Engineers Association list in the names of the engineers working for him.
3.   He should be registered with the Companies Controller or in the Commercial Register of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
4.   He should have obtained a valid Occupational License.
5.   A list from the Social Security Corporation in the names of his staff.
6.   He should have a fixed and suitable office for his class and specialization.

Persons benefiting from the service

any natural or legal person classified with the Jordanian Engineers Association is willing to provide engineering services for the purpose of participating in the government engineering services tenders
