Introduction

 

Government Performance Directorate has been established under the ‘Public Sector Reform and Government Performance’ Law, which was passed in 2005.

The Government Performance Directorate aims at enhancing supervision, monitoring, and evaluation of all national priority objectives, through adopting the following mandates:

1.         Preparing, publishing, and updating national priorities through coordinating efforts with concerned entities.

2.         Formulating key performance indicators to monitor public sector entities and report the outcome to cabinet.

3.         Supervise performance of public sector entities and recommend initiatives to enhance and elevate their performance.

4.         Publish reports on Government Performance periodically.

5.         Identify gaps in government performance and propose recommendations to bridge gaps.

6.         Execute any related tasks to government performance monitoring, which the Prime Minister delegates his power.
