The main causes for this crisis are the maintenance process that was executed by the Jordanian cement factories (JCF ) which started at the beginning of summer season which leaded to a noted shortage in provided quantities in local markets, in addition, the increments in the construction sector activities which created a higher level of demands, the third reason was the negative behaviors of merchants on retailers level which presented by the hiding of bought quantities from ( JCF ) .those reasons rise the prices level to a higher levels in cement market in all of its production stages.

 To solve this problem The Ministry of Industry and trade enhanced the field trips of auditors on retailers level to ensure the full supply for the quantities which the merchants got it form Jordanian cement factories( JCF). The second phase contained an official meeting with (JCF) to find a way to reduce the prices level and that led to a moderate solution contained, on the government side, Canceling the additional ( special )  sales tax ( 2.32 JDs ) and , on the JCF side, reducing the wholesaler price level bye 2 JDs.
