The Corporation’s management

The Corporation has immaterial entity with financial and administrative independence within the framework of laws and regulations in effect.  The Corporation’s affairs and business management is administered by a Board of Directors, a Director General and an executive team.  Following is a look at the structure of the Corporation’s administration:

 

The Board of Directors

The Board of Directors is chaired by the Minister of Labor and includes the membership of the Corporation’s Director General and representatives from the Ministry of Labor, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Public Works and Housing, the Ministry of Planning, the Engineers Association, the Amman Chamber of Industry, the General Union of Laborers Association and two representatives from the private sector.  The Board of Directors undertakes the following tasks:

 

·            Setting the Corporation’s general policies.

·            Preparing vocational training plans and programs.

·            Studying the need for vocational training in the various institutions.

·            Endorsing the general standards for vocational training levels and the necessary instructions for implementing the Corporation’s tasks.

·            Preparing the necessary draft regulations.

·            Approving the annual draft budget and presenting it to the Council of Ministers for endorsement.

 

The Director General:

The Corporation’s Director General (the Board’s Vice Chairman) undertakes the following tasks and authorities:

 

·            Applying the policy set by the Board and executing its decisions.

·            Supervising the work of the Corporation’s employees and hired personnel and managing its executive team.

·            Preparing the annual draft budget and presenting it to the Board.

·            Any other authorizations assigned by the Board or stated in the regulations issued pursuant to the Law.
