Jerash Municipality was established in (1910) M, where is a veteran of the municipalities that formed before the creation of Transjordan was penalized for mayor of Jerash since then until this day, many of the mayors who represent different segments of society Aljursci.
Has become the mayor of Jerash powers after the implementation of the project of merging the municipalities in Jordan include large areas of towns and villages and communities scattered which required the division of the municipality into different areas reflect the implementation of decentralization in performance and service provision, as the geographical nature Aljurscip imposed the existence of breaks and spaces between the municipal center and between the areas outside the municipal area, due to the nature of this municipality has been divided into four major Jerash areas ranked as follows according to population size and area of Jerash, the Deir Al-liat, and Souf ,and area of Al -Kfar. |
