Introduction
King Abdullah II Center for Excellence was founded in January 2006 according to the Bylaw Number (6) of the Year 2006, preserving the significance of the name of the King Abdullah II Award for Excellence, as it is considered the most prestigious award for excellence on the national level in all sectors. His Royal Highness Prince Faisal Bin Al-Hussein is the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, under which the Center is managed and supervised.

The Center's Vision and Mission:

Vision:  To be the primary catalyst in developing a more consistently competitive Jordan.
Mission:  The King Abdullah II Center for Excellence will become the national reference for quality and excellence among public, private, business associations, educational service providers and non-governmental institutions, measuring their ability and efficacy in serving their individual stakeholders and their contribution in raising the competitiveness of the Jordanian economy. 

The Center’s Role:

The King Abdullah II Center for Excellence is the home for all Jordanian Excellence Awards providing comprehensive approach that allows for beneficial and effective integration among the targeted sectors in an effort to incorporate and align those sectors’ efforts with the National initiatives to lead Jordan to global competitiveness.

The role of the King Abdullah II Center for Excellence is to promote continuing excellence in performance and management in all Jordanian institutions (the public sector, private sector, business associations, non-governmental organizations and education service providers), with the ultimate goal of increasing Jordan's international competitiveness and help securing a sustainable and prosperous future for Jordan. This will be through implementing an awards program which will offer national and international recognition.
